BBC News – Youth bear brunt of recession

“The number of young people out of work has risen by 6,000, reaching a total of 952,000, the latest figures show. In the past year, job losses among young people have risen faster than any other section of the working population.” (The third time in my lifetime, and I don’t see any great ‘mass revolt’ of our young people. Have they become, so very badly: ‘oppressed, crushed, and voiceless’, in the ‘tribal system’ UK?) The imagination of the young was crushed (inheritability, indoctrination, traditions, dogmatic – pious – religious, state control, so on…) they are ‘static’ and so ‘they all failed’ (miserably) Jacob Bronowski ‘The Ascent of Man’. Tribal-ness (caste) of social mobility (lack of – a longer term indicator and very hard to change, once it – social exclusion, has become embeded) And, ‘the gap’ rich and poor divide, worse now than 40 years ago Who owns Britain, UK, GB? Heinrich Heine (1797-1856) ‘Then as Now’!
The lazy Lord, who like a surfeited god, rides along on his high horse, casting now and then, an aristocratically indifferent glance at the mob below, as though they were swarming ants. Or, at all events, a mass of baser beings, whose joys and sorrows have nothing to do with his feelings. Yet, over the vulgar multitude, which sticks fast to the soil, soar like beings of higher nature – England’s nobility. They regard their little island as only a temporary resting place; Italy as their summer garden; Paris as their social saloon, and the whole world as their inheritance.

‘The Human Hand’, and ‘The Long Childhood’ (getting, longer, and longer, in UK, with its ghettos, social divisions, and inequality) Jacob Bronowski ‘The Ascent of Man’, and ‘why change is important for a civilisation to advance’, and why some (dogma / dogmatic) people, some institutions in ‘Education UK’, hate change and will not learn to progress; are neophobic (have a fear of the new) – the ‘static-ness of traditions within their own tribalism, religion, or culture’ (loss of power). In nature, the very same neophobia, is shown, by very strong regressive ‘urges’, and by countless experiments that have been done on our cousins the apes! Ref, Desmond Morris ‘The Naked Ape’ & ‘The Human Zoo’, and And Also, our brains – amazing quantity of its ‘mirror neurons’ of axons and dendrites – ‘The Emerging Mind’ V.Ramachandran. The opposite to neophobia is neophilia (v-scary to some – humans and apes) Culture Change, ‘The Triumph of Triviality’ “Culture change strategists all agree about the urgent need to promote “global consciousness,” or “cosmic consciousness.” Thinking deeper, “No Justification for Discrimination” No ‘divergence’ (respect for and its positive inclusion into society – leads to a never ending; backwardness, traditionalism, ignorance, poverty, and wars, so on…) in British culture, the civil service, armed forces, industry, schools, so on…NewScientist 23 January 2010, ‘opinion letters’ – Kate Hopkins, Inner Skills Consultancy. Dave Boothman, “IQ is not a good measure of intelligence”, “He is right!” They follow a convergent model (ref, ‘the lowest common denominator’). “The existence of a test for ‘divergence’ could make a difference to our ability to identify those who have a particular aptitude for innovation.” So desperately are those people needed today at the top of society, in our failing and very fuddy-duddy UK, GB!

Been sent, by Google: Why aren’t my children doing proper and not muddled Religious Education (RE) at their School? It is a very important subject! (‘not fit for purpose’ 2010. Religious Education UK, GB, RE should be a ‘separate subject’ i.e., not involving itself, by often, using the iniquitous term ‘spirituality’ to hijack or to ‘bridge itself’ into other subjects (it always was separate, like Latin, if I remember my 1950’s RE lessons, so on…) & not to involve itself in ideology, global warming – the science of: political trends, indoctrination, philosophy, science – physics, chemistry and biology, sport, and so on…Otherwise, unfortunately, as it is now; from seeing my 10 year olds work and prep, become seriously and pathetically ‘silly’, R.Dawkins’s ‘very silly’)

“Iain Stewart tells the epic story of how the planet has shaped our history. With spectacular images, surprising stories and a compelling narrative, the series discovers the central role played in human history by four different planetary forces.

In this first episode, Iain explores the relationship between the deep Earth and the development of human civilisation. He visits an extraordinary crystal cave in Mexico, drops down a hole in the Iranian desert and crawls through seven-thousand-year-old tunnels in Israel.

His exploration reveals that throughout history, our ancestors were strangely drawn to fault lines, areas which connect the surface with the deep interior of the planet. These fault lines gave access to important resources, but also brought with them great danger.”

About luckyme0

My First family, second marriage, bringing up my 18-year-old twins, boy, and girl. I am a third generation Humanist, who has some old handwritten information and notes; collected over many years. Someone may find the articles interesting, or helpful. They could bring back a little ‘reality’, after being ‘shocked’ and ‘brainwashed’, by some malicious group, or institution (REBT Therapy). People should know better, than to do this, to our very young, and the ‘obviously’ vulnerable! Go to easily accessible, non-superstitious knowledge that is not charlatanism! The blog has given me an incentive to order my thoughts, learn, and read up again, after a few non-thinking years of (very silly) imagination and passion. Why not, get your own key to a ‘door’, customise it to suit you, and it can be, all of your very own! Don’t believe, or be led by someone else’s; inherited, stupid, and a very likely (past, and not of today’s) ‘totally preposterous reality’s’. Only some interest in the ‘really big questions’, keeps life above the level of a farce, and very little else! KEEP THINKING! Some of the posts may need some correcting. Favorite quote: “The world belongs to those who, at least to some degree, have figured it out.” Carl Sagan, ‘The Demon Haunted World’, ‘Contact’, and other famous books DVD ‘Cosmos’. The warning of another and horrendous, “Age of Superstition”. “Isn’t there something deeply absurd in the presumption that children ought to inherit beliefs from their parents. It can be deeply damaging, even lethally divisive. A ‘them’, with an ‘against us’, mentality” – Professor Richard Dawkins. “The will to believe is stronger than mere reason in the vast majority of people” – Dr J.Brown, Army Psychologist of the 1960′s. Humans will believe in almost anything, in fact, they seek it! Why? “98% of us, trained to be just good consumers, let’s train our children to be the 2% who have their very own creativity and discernment”; quote by a famous surreal artist. “The lack of reason brings forth monsters”. “Global interconnectedness is lethal against mass religion, nationalism, racism, and other destructive memeplexes. Let us connect everybody they hate it in restrictive regimes”; from the ‘meme learning group’, Richard Brodie’s book, ‘Virus Of The Mind’ (Richard Brodie a designer for ‘Microsoft Word’). Following on, J.Bronowski, and ‘The Ascent Of Man’ TV series, and a book with the last DVD in this series, ‘The Long Childhood’ being especially revealing. ‘Prehistory’ and the ‘Making of the Human Mind’ by Colin Renfrew, with P.Wilson’s, ‘The Domestication of the Human Species’, and Nigel Spivey’s, TV series and book, ‘How Art Made The World’, offers some further explanations.
