BBC News – Mobiles offer new view of reality

WhisperingEnergy (WEPromote) is now following your tweets on Twitter (‘suspends your disbelief in a religion-like way’).

"It envisages a world where interaction with data becomes indistinguishable from how we interact with objects in the physical world, pulling, pushing, dropping and lifting content onto machines." ‘Without some sort of a map orientation is impossible’ – B.Russell. ‘Amnesty Lecture’ Oxford – Nicholas Humphrey. (Structural World View) To enhance that ‘existential moment’, a billion real time pages, a ‘matrix of the moment’. "Google has launched real-time search to give users access to up-to-the-second information." Culture Change, ‘The Triumph of Triviality’ "Culture change strategists all agree about the urgent need to promote “global consciousness,” or “cosmic consciousness.”

Advancing through a decade – shame about our backward religions and equality in our social systems: with no science, or knowledge and proper (factual) education, they were doomed to complete failure overall, as our appalling history in those areas shows us and so very clearly (into the new, ‘Decade of Hippy Love’, hopefully). A very nasty, powerful, ‘Right Wing – Christian – Racist and Fundamentalist’ movement; developing itself strongly in USA, as with the BNP in UK (polarised, with the election of a black president, the failure of Wall St, its rescue, but failure on most of Main St, which has led many to a ‘political home’ on the far Right Wing. Ref, films and many reports) I do, suspect, it ‘rears its ugly head’ strongly (in desperation) on many of our ‘School Governing Boards’, so on… Welcome, ‘Oddballs’ as part of National Defence – An article on finance, by Jamie Robertson, shows how much we really know and what the next ten years could bring us, "In the heady closing days of 1999 and early months of 2000, had you muttered that in 10 years the FTSE would be 25% lower and that a ‘tracker fund’ would lose a quarter of your money over the coming decade, you would be regarded as the kind of oddball who thought China would become an economic superpower and the US might elect a black president."

‘Science shed light on mysteries of evolution, dark matter and the deep ocean.’ "The noughties saw the discovery of key characters in the story of our own evolution, the full catalogue of the human genome and an enhanced understanding of mysterious dark matter. The biggest physics experiment in the world switched on, broke down, and got up and running once again. Here, some of the leading scientists at the forefront of the past decade’s most significant research tell us what it all really means."

A Very Bad Example

(Public Spending & Money Cults: Education – ‘suspending your disbelief in a religion-like way’ – ‘The Power of the Guardians’, "Never has so much power been in the hands of so very few" GB, UK, Prof Amartya Sen (Nobel Prize-winner)

Government, ‘selection and labelling of children’ by faith & ‘forced worship’ – Church Schools, Faith Schools, UK, GB, Roman Catholic Church, conundrum or the ‘split-personality’ (cracked-bell) The Pope has called for peace and the protection of children as he celebrated a Mass to mark the start of 2010. And

RE Search – Agreed SyllabusDorset For You – Windows Live

Jonathan Dimbleby and a panel of experts come together to debate the controversial subject of religion in Britain’s schools. As the Lady at the end said, "You are no part of the democracy" (the very – ‘hard won freedoms’ of the ‘political majority’ and all ‘thinking people’ – Dorset For You, Schools Admissions, RE and Assembly. Personally, with two 10 year old’s at a local school, "Selective religious indoctrination, with its repetitive prayers and graces and RE, up to the present time – worse, or near-criminal, in Primary School – early stages; has been an, ‘indoctrination of the most wicked {Prof R.Dawkins’s ‘wicked’} form’.

I would say that the (half-baked – religiosity, or otherwise) periods of (religious orientated or humanist, secular) ‘reflection’ in schools, and for young children is a particularly silly waste of time, and adds to general boredom found in most schools, esp, those without science or structure i.e., of a religious sort – an exception, possibly after very strenuous exercise and sport, loss and trauma, it may help the teachers order their thoughts and rest; but it is very unlikely to do this at all in the children. Their brains are not sufficiently developed, as one of the most important principles in education is to teach the ordering of thoughts in ‘the structuralised manner’. Later on, full use can be made of the contents of the developed brain, and its proved – quite amazing amount of ‘mirror neurons’ developing a much greater and independent (not subject to the whims and wishes of others) structure in thinking. Ref, Dr Vilaynur Ramachandran, BBC Reith Lectures ‘The Emerging Mind’ – synesthaesia. ‘The Fear of Freedom’ – Fromm, and ‘The Lowest Common Denominator’. "The further one travels away from LCD – the greater amount of individuality found." Adult Education – Autism – importance of ‘structure’, and Primate to Human Evolution – ‘neophobia, fear of the new’, a much stronger and very predominate factor in both species. UK, GB, Schools, esp: Government Policy and the State Religion; Private Schools – Faith Schools and Church Schools; so on…Interesting, thus, Christmas is a time of year in which Christians who attend church
regularly may be more aware of the disconnect between the secular and church worlds. … And, And, fun!? ‘Notes for a Lecture on Philosophy’. Trident Missiles; pornography; sex shops; 100 million, or more: terrifying deaths!!A18BF3FCC5E126A2!2400.entry

30000-50000 excess infant deaths in sub- Saharan Africa in 2009 …. Read about the current situation. Read about Oxfam’s response to the economic crisis And, ‘Tosser of The Year Award 2009’ – 100,000 Iraq deaths & 35,000 Afghan deaths – many, ‘women and children’.

Government: 1) Does it (ever) do a lot of thinking (‘SATS’, Key Stage 1 ‘PSHE’) is very stupid and/or completely mad? luckyme0 on Twitter – Avatar. Sigourney, smoking. Adverts & children, No Smoking & Coca Cola! And, ‘First Words’ ‘Becoming human is a process, not some event’. 2) What prevents most/all Governments from around our world, thinking properly about anything, and what is preventing them for making life a little easier and simpler for the people that they very often pretend to serve? Why we will lose in Afghanistan (massively vast tribal areas – much bigger than the Tree portrayed in the best selling film ‘Avatar’. Read, ‘Warrior Poets’ Gilmore, and see the film, ‘Son Of A Lion’ Does a question come up, "Why we should lose in Afghanistan"? Or, "Why we must now, and right away, honorably, lose in Afghanistan, now: Somalia and Yemen"? To save ourselves and all our respect for our civilisation; our civilisation entirely, from the terrorist backlash (homegrown – mostly), if it hasn’t gone ‘down the pan {a goner} already, with the latest > in a 300yr long line, the latest, 10 years of being where we should never have gone!)

Humanist Life (new site, looks good) Beastly cold weather, and England well under-prepared, where is the friendly Gritter Person in our village, to give you a bit of grit and salt for your garden path that leads out of your house; maybe it is time to throw the ‘stupid computers’ out of the window and sack most of the well known ‘Quangoidial Office Workers’: give the shovels back and have a bit of fun and exercise outdoors! Get into a ‘fleece-mode’ tomorrow morning @!A18BF3FCC5E126A2!1830.entry Sunninghill Preparatory School. Thomas Hardye School. Dorchester. School Uniforms and an (old and famous, by the totally amazing amount of hits) article, Dorset Echo ‘Bedraggled’ and in, ‘Wake Up Britain Today’. Artificial Fleece – now, a matter of Health and Safety + Reflective Jackets and a 20mph Speed Limit. Prepare our children to disregard ‘silly (traditional) school uniform rules’ and rebel against ‘particularly stupid authoritarianism’, which seem to be universally prevalent and specifically in our schools with their ‘easily manipulated captive audiences’ – NOW. 10,000 schools closed And, go to Google – ‘boy puberty, mini skirt (Thomas Hardye) girl’

About luckyme0

My First family, second marriage, bringing up my 18-year-old twins, boy, and girl. I am a third generation Humanist, who has some old handwritten information and notes; collected over many years. Someone may find the articles interesting, or helpful. They could bring back a little ‘reality’, after being ‘shocked’ and ‘brainwashed’, by some malicious group, or institution (REBT Therapy). People should know better, than to do this, to our very young, and the ‘obviously’ vulnerable! Go to easily accessible, non-superstitious knowledge that is not charlatanism! The blog has given me an incentive to order my thoughts, learn, and read up again, after a few non-thinking years of (very silly) imagination and passion. Why not, get your own key to a ‘door’, customise it to suit you, and it can be, all of your very own! Don’t believe, or be led by someone else’s; inherited, stupid, and a very likely (past, and not of today’s) ‘totally preposterous reality’s’. Only some interest in the ‘really big questions’, keeps life above the level of a farce, and very little else! KEEP THINKING! Some of the posts may need some correcting. Interests: REBT Counselling, Atheism, Secularism, Humanism, Psychology, Reading, Popular Science, School Ethos, Philosophy, History, Family, Parenting, Psychology, Horse Riding, Sailing, Rescue Boat Driver, Skiing (Teppichswinger), TV Documentaries, Motorbike Cross Country Riding, Volunteer Sports Stewarding, Writing, Primitive Man, Pre-history, Social Anthropology, British Humanist Association, BHA, Meaning of Life, The Big Questions, Where am I, What am I, Why am I, Hippie Love, Knowledge, Education, Globalisation. Favorite quote: “The world belongs to those who, at least to some degree, have figured it out.” Carl Sagan, ‘The Demon Haunted World’, ‘Contact’, and other famous books DVD ‘Cosmos’. The warning of another and horrendous, “Age of Superstition”. “Isn’t there something deeply absurd in the presumption that children ought to inherit beliefs from their parents. It can be deeply damaging, even lethally divisive. A ‘them’, with an ‘against us’, mentality” – Professor Richard Dawkins. “The will to believe is stronger than mere reason in the vast majority of people” – Dr J.Brown, Army Psychologist of the 1960′s. Humans will believe in almost anything, in fact, they seek it! Why? “98% of us, trained to be just good consumers, let’s train our children to be the 2% who have their very own creativity and discernment”; quote by a famous surreal artist. “The lack of reason brings forth monsters”. “Global interconnectedness is lethal against mass religion, nationalism, racism, and other destructive memeplexes. Let us connect everybody they hate it in restrictive regimes”; from the ‘meme learning group’, Richard Brodie’s book, ‘Virus Of The Mind’ (Richard Brodie a designer for ‘Microsoft Word’). Following on, J.Bronowski, and ‘The Ascent Of Man’ TV series, and a book with the last DVD in this series, ‘The Long Childhood’ being especially revealing. ‘Prehistory’ and the ‘Making of the Human Mind’ by Colin Renfrew, with P.Wilson’s, ‘The Domestication of the Human Species’, and Nigel Spivey’s, TV series and book, ‘How Art Made The World’, offers some further explanations.
