My attempt at some analysis:
The final part of this series, its various parts, and the conclusions, is throwing a very new and a fresh light on the very appalling and the recent ‘Social History of the World’. Professor Niall Ferguson has worked on this series for the past nine years and his book ‘The War of the World’ is now out in the bookshops. It is a very remarkable achievement and I must go out to buy it!

1) Our very great inability to handle our social affairs in a reasonable, responsible, and realistic manner: the line that hardly gets off the ground.
2) Our responsible achievements in the field of scientific or technological development: the line soars upward on a steep curve.

It is the discipline that should, especially be taught : ‘highlighting’ the ‘tipping points’ that ultimately sends us to war, ethnic division, racism, ethnic cleansing, and even : personal every day argument and bullying, sexism, and ageism. Game Theory (Tit for Tat Theory) and Memetics (Richard Dawkins) could be useful extra explanatory tools and the proofs in argument!
It is ‘all’ a universal educational interest, but again badly neglected (too modern?) by our British Educationalists, as if the realities of our human predicament make us feel far too uncomfortable to explore, or even, for this ‘all’ to be included in a part of the syllabus for the betterment of our children and society. The psychology of, and proofed in the 1960’s, by various irrefutable experiments : the power of the Sub Group, and its total irresistibility by anyone however strong minded to resist being dragged in to. Upping the scale of abuse and torture to fellow persons, in or outside the experiment. (no one wishes to be taken over by a cult) How, so easily, we are beguiled and go along with the committing of horrendous acts of violence if the conditions are rightly set for us. The conditions needed for a group of men/soldiers to commit acts of mass rape/abuse/murder, but especially rape are very easily made. This rape as explained by Niall Ferguson is not from the obvious outsiders view to change another races ethnicity, as the pregnancy rates obviously go up, but the humiliation and great fear that can be implanted into a population receiving this treatment. The tipping point to this behaviour is when we view the other race or country as no more than disgusting form of animal-alien or an economical (sub) culture (rich or poor) in their particular form (type) of cultural nature.
Some more reasons: Why reality has not been fully taught at Schools and the silly reliance that we have on fairy tales or ancient religious text to keep conformity and social cohesion causing the opposite effect! Dr Hannah Segal on BBC Radio 4 Desert Island Discs, talking about her sister that died of Scarlet Fever in the 1920’s : she was told that the sister had gone to Heaven. Hannah was cross about this, as a lie made into a truth is nothing more than a recipe for future disaster in the psychological make up of our children and their future lives. Children can cope better with the realities than most adults and can; easily overcome bereavement if told the truth, going to heaven is just delaying grief tactics, has no reality, and is only told selfishly for the parent’s convenient benefit. The appalling situation, compounded by the financial sponsorship of our Schools by Churches, Faiths, Sub Groups or Cults.
This ‘make up’ – ‘talk up’ – ‘spin’ of our ‘Institutionalised Education’ that is our ‘Sweet-talking Wonderful Schools’, with their ‘Hard Working Wonderful Teachers’, ‘Wonderful Students’, and ‘Wonderful Parents’. ‘Promotional political correctness, is again, getting in the way. We all still like to live with our comfortable fairy tales, in our comfortable country, that so many of us have become so very divorced from the socially degrading and economic realities most the rest of the world endures. All this is neglected by our institutions when we are young. (Our hearts beating to fiddle and drum) and when we need so very desperately to learn. Ignorance is a delectable fruit.
Our very drudge and traditional pseudo religious schools ethos-es, political correctness of our school books and our science books i.e. Some books do contain a marked wooliness, especially at the primary level. Scientists think that this is true, when of course it is true! However, “The religious explanation might be correct” or that, “We don’t want to do the religious explanation down”, when of course, “It is obviously, not true, at all, but, it might upset some ethnic group to come out with a proof. However, this political correctness, non-sensei-cal, and soapy like pap are preferable in our superstitiously politically correct society. Religious explanations, only, have ever been, critical or picked holes in Science : they have no inherent truths, and never have ever come up with any proofs themselves, only pure speculations and imaginings, obviously, then hampering and pampering the young minds’ positive dive into the scientific or social science arena of (modern) proven facts.
This superstition, obviously is an, indictment of charlatanism (charlatan), however, traditional and a crime against the children and the vulnerable, which is promoted or directed to: however well meaning it may sound, or for whatever (good) purpose or purposes. Like the Doctor telling you that you do not have the disease, when you have: doing this fib to some, how protect you or yourself from your natural and personalized emotions.

Niall Ferguson’s conclusions to 100+ years of history : Social Science Model, should thus contain some sort of formula – such as, or maybe :
Overt nationalism + economic and social deprivation + religious fundamentalism = ethnic cleansing and killings of men/boys/children + the exceptional large predominance/popularity of the mass organised rape of women = subsequent increase of the birth rate.

Religious fundamentalism and absolute dogmatic adherence’s = earlier marriage age * forbidden use of contraceptives = increase in birth rate = social depravation = migration to more advanced and richer countries*with lower birth rates = unrest, sympathetic – home grown terrorism, due to social and cultural differences in the host countries by minority religious and cultural population.
The Unavoidability of Religion
Firm laws, established and against: any racism or any other divisive social ‘isms’ or even divisive phobias for that matter. Freedom of the individual in thought and speech of a specific importance; protection of our young, vulnerable and weak from totalitarian monotheistic brainwashing by the present overbearing authority, whatever may be the wishes of the parents are; in public or private education. They can always brainwash their own children at home or in their own churches by the repetitive language, music or any other means if they so wish. We know by countless experiments that the will to believe in anything however preposterous is far stronger than the strength of mere reason in the vast majority of people: leading to dangerous divisions. That becoming a socially advanced human is a (long) process not some (instant) event. The unavoidability of religion for all of us, until our critical faculties and knowledge, principally that of History, Evolution, and Cosmology. For this then, or become, strong enough to supersede and replace superstitious tendencies.
