The Gutter Or The Stars. Naturists, Naturism, And The Universe.

The Answer To Being Called A Naturist
A cheeky little word that implies in this context, a shallowness and is derogatory. Naturism, I am sure, is lots of fun and very healthy i.e. The word (naturist) is used by those who are very interested to convert others, into believing as truth, their own particular brand of religion or religious text, as opposed to, the science and ideology of  the naturists. Some, preachers or leaders of religion, and some ideologies, are the purveyors of trite, instant, shallow, and fraudulent answers, to some of humankinds most important questions. They, mostly, dress up to look important and distinctive. They like to impress themselves to our children or those with a similar child like mentality. They practise the art of being authoritative, overwhelming, and overbearing, which is construed to be so clever by our children, and those who have, a lax, easy, vulnerable, and controllable type of disposition. They like pretend to know what is right for you, and all of humankind and to impress (sell) on to you, hard, their particular brand of virtuosity.
They belong, sometimes, to dangerous sub-groups (see, the dangers of the sub-group on this blog). They have gained special favours with many elected democratic governments and legislatures. They have hidden agenda to gain egoistical points, and to enhance themselves by making converts, and influencing government policy into the realms or areas that all governments should not ever try to enter.
The Naturists, on the other hand, have nothing to sell to any one. All the Naturists are interested in is quite self evident by the use of proper experiment and is therefore real knowledge. They do not limit their own imaginations, the religionists so like to think, they are the only one’s with any imagination, it is, so often, the other way round or the opposite! They do not threaten anyone by any hell fire and some unsatisfactory after life, or even the ridiculous notion of purgatory on this earth and go to the extreme of threatening non-believers.
There is no childish prepossession and the emotionally pathetic use of blaspheme that does belong in the primitive or anthropological state of anomy that causes so much trouble and deaths! Blaspheme is a catch 22 or a two edged sword; bullies use it and bullies then accuse people of doing it. Naturalists have no particular religion or sacred truths. Becoming human is not some event, but a process! It does take time, some take very much longer time than some others do, in that time, they cause so much trouble, whilst blundering about in our fragile world.
Keep Religion In Our Churches – No Religion In Our Schools
They try to uphold, the messages or absolutes that are given in ancient religious texts. Those people are those you may call the clowns, as they were so-called by the ex-Headmaster of the school in Pennsylvania that had recently been involved in the fiasco of the Intelligent Design Debate, which of course is remarkably unintelligent. Unintelligent Design. We only have to understand nature and understanding nature is slightly complicated, when it is muddled up with our feelings. Most humans prefer their feelings as their proof of some truth : it makes them feel better or more comfortable.
Nature just is, it does not have any feelings. You do have feelings, because you are in and part of nature. Feelings do not need to get muddled up with trite, which is not anything and does of course, mean, nothing. Why do we give up so much time to trite, when our lives are so very short is a mystery. Maybe, it is just a phase of our our own particular era – lots of money in muck? Hopefully, and soon, we may grow tired of it and see that it is divisive, dangerous, and that we have a duty not to participate in or exacerbate the trite in life.
The good works of the religion or a political ideology that you may have or belong to – both of these are sometimes are fatally combined, spelling out our human disasters. The goodness in these, mostly, has been outweighed by human rights crimes and by many appalling atrocities. The balancing act that we are all responsible for personally and in our influencing of government’s, to make the correct decisions as to our laws made, and to maintain some sort of cohesion within our society is important for all. The paying of ransoms to terrorists or the setting of a limit to free speech for the protection of one particular religious or ideological absolute is not an option! That is, if we have learnt anything from our history, and that never ending cycle into The Gutter, it comes about so often in history by our own personal neglect, the turning our feelings into some false reality. The world being magical and made for us. The sleep of everyday living…and the sleep of reason that brings forth monsters
The Stars
Science tells us what we can know, but what we can know is little, and if we forget how much we cannot know, we become insensitive to many things of very great importance. Theology on the other hand induces a dogmatic belief that we have knowledge, where in fact, we have ignorance and by doing so generates a kind of impertinent insolence towards the universe. Uncertainty, in the presence of vivid hopes and fears is painful, but must be endured, if we wish to live without the support of comforting fairy tales. To teach how to live without certainty, and yet, without being paralysed by hesitation, is perhaps, the chief thing that philosophy in our age can still do for those who study it.
Philosophy is not for self-assured hedonists, who know everything they want to know. Nor is it for those who feel no need to look beyond the horizon of family, friends, and occupation. However, for someone who can spare a moment to lift his brow from the furrow and his eyes from the ledger it will have a certain charm.
Now we can take our clothes off, just like Lucy in the Natural History Museum and The lady of the nickered stars in Austria, European Union. We can mix sex, philosophy, and some science, without any pathetic and silly inhibitions! Thank you Austria for the Public EU Presidency Posters.
We can go the way of the fallen, through the Darkness and into the Light!
The Universe
For centuries, man believed the Earth to be the centre of Creation. The true picture is far more awe-inspiring. We live on a small planet revolving round a star of only average size, which is itself revolving, with thousands of millions of other stars in one galaxy among millions, in a universe that may well be boundless.
Scientific observation has as yet revealed no limits to the Universe (see, latest science) and has so far probed only a fraction of it. Yet to travel to the frontiers of that observed fraction, even at 186,300 miles per second (the speed of light) would take 6,000 million years, about, 20,000 times the total period that life is estimated to have existed on Earth.
The different bodies and structures in the Universe, all of which appear to be receding from us, range from single galaxies to mammoth clusters containing as many as 500 galaxies.
Although the cluster of galaxies to which our galaxy belongs is comparatively small (it has only 14 members), our galaxy itself the Milky Way System, ranks among the larger of the known stellar systems. Counting its almost 100,000 million stars (of which the Sun with its family of planets is one) at the rate of one star a second would take about 2,500 years.Seen edge-on from outside, the Milky Way System looks like a fairly flat disk with a thick cloud of stars near and round its centre. Seen at right angles, it looks like a giant Catherine wheel with numerous spiral arms of varying size going out from the centre. The Sun lies in one of these arms. It is so far away front the centre that it needs about 200 million years to complete one orbit round the "hub" of the Catherine wheel. Calculated on the basis of the Sun’s estimated age it can have made only about 20 complete circuits.
The stars forming the Milky Way are not evenly distributed, but thin out from the central plane of the galaxy and from its bulbous centre. The myriads of stars forming the centre are hidden from the Earth by vast formations of cosmic dust and are not directly visible. If we look in the direction of the plane, however, from our position slightly outside it, we see the stars distributed in greater depth and number, so that they appear to merge into a single luminous band. This bright streak in the sky has been known for centuries as the Milky Way, a name now given to the whole of the system.
Surrounding the galaxy and forming part of it are compact swarms of stars known as globular star clusters. Beyond them again lie thousands of millions of other galaxies of varying size and structure. The nearest comparable in size to our own, the Great Galaxy in Andromeda is nearly two million "light-years" away, a distance that light, travelling at 186,300 miles per second, takes nearly two million years to cover.
As man probes deeper into the Universe, the number of galaxies seems to grow as immense as the space through which they hurtle.

About luckyme0

My First family, second marriage, bringing up my 18-year-old twins, boy, and girl. I am a third generation Humanist, who has some old handwritten information and notes; collected over many years. Someone may find the articles interesting, or helpful. They could bring back a little ‘reality’, after being ‘shocked’ and ‘brainwashed’, by some malicious group, or institution (REBT Therapy). People should know better, than to do this, to our very young, and the ‘obviously’ vulnerable! Go to easily accessible, non-superstitious knowledge that is not charlatanism! The blog has given me an incentive to order my thoughts, learn, and read up again, after a few non-thinking years of (very silly) imagination and passion. Why not, get your own key to a ‘door’, customise it to suit you, and it can be, all of your very own! Don’t believe, or be led by someone else’s; inherited, stupid, and a very likely (past, and not of today’s) ‘totally preposterous reality’s’. Only some interest in the ‘really big questions’, keeps life above the level of a farce, and very little else! KEEP THINKING! Some of the posts may need some correcting. Interests: REBT Counselling, Atheism, Secularism, Humanism, Psychology, Reading, Popular Science, School Ethos, Philosophy, History, Family, Parenting, Psychology, Horse Riding, Sailing, Rescue Boat Driver, Skiing (Teppichswinger), TV Documentaries, Motorbike Cross Country Riding, Volunteer Sports Stewarding, Writing, Primitive Man, Pre-history, Social Anthropology, British Humanist Association, BHA, Meaning of Life, The Big Questions, Where am I, What am I, Why am I, Hippie Love, Knowledge, Education, Globalisation. Favorite quote: “The world belongs to those who, at least to some degree, have figured it out.” Carl Sagan, ‘The Demon Haunted World’, ‘Contact’, and other famous books DVD ‘Cosmos’. The warning of another and horrendous, “Age of Superstition”. “Isn’t there something deeply absurd in the presumption that children ought to inherit beliefs from their parents. It can be deeply damaging, even lethally divisive. A ‘them’, with an ‘against us’, mentality” – Professor Richard Dawkins. “The will to believe is stronger than mere reason in the vast majority of people” – Dr J.Brown, Army Psychologist of the 1960′s. Humans will believe in almost anything, in fact, they seek it! Why? “98% of us, trained to be just good consumers, let’s train our children to be the 2% who have their very own creativity and discernment”; quote by a famous surreal artist. “The lack of reason brings forth monsters”. “Global interconnectedness is lethal against mass religion, nationalism, racism, and other destructive memeplexes. Let us connect everybody they hate it in restrictive regimes”; from the ‘meme learning group’, Richard Brodie’s book, ‘Virus Of The Mind’ (Richard Brodie a designer for ‘Microsoft Word’). Following on, J.Bronowski, and ‘The Ascent Of Man’ TV series, and a book with the last DVD in this series, ‘The Long Childhood’ being especially revealing. ‘Prehistory’ and the ‘Making of the Human Mind’ by Colin Renfrew, with P.Wilson’s, ‘The Domestication of the Human Species’, and Nigel Spivey’s, TV series and book, ‘How Art Made The World’, offers some further explanations.
